Steve 10/01/04
When I scheduled a float trip with you I had very specific
goals in mind.
My
father and I had been fishing the Salmon River for about
10 years (seasonally) and had thought we knew what the
heck we were doing.
We’d been tight to a lot of fish over the years on the
lower end, but had never really seen the upper river in
its entirety.
After picking your brain on our “sightseeing” tour and
taking copious amounts of notes on everything, we knew
we’d witnessed a revolution.
From holes to runs, flies, weight, leader size, times of
year, definitions of terms, fish tendencies, techniques
etc. etc. etc.,
you unloaded a ton of knowledge and positively changed the
whole perception of the fishery for us.
Even though there was a trickle of fish that day, you
still knew the exact right spots to put us on to fish.
We’re also very happy to report that we took all of our
new found knowledge to the DSR the next two days and had
a much greater number of hook-ups than our fellow
fishermen! Unreal!
Your warmth, humor and no BS attitude were a pleasure to
be around for the day.
My father and I still speak of that great trip to this
day; the knowledge you have disseminated is absolutely
priceless.
Thanks again and hope to see you on the river soon-

Just
wanted to let you know what a great time I had
fishing with you in April of 2003. Since I never
fished for Steelhead before I really had no clue
what to expect. Although the fishing was tuff your
knowledge of the area and of the fish enabled me to
land my first ever Steelhead, a beautiful 13 pound
hen.
I was not
only blown away with the quality of the fish but
also the quality of my guide. You took the time to
show me the proper way to rig, fish, and fight these
magnificent fish. You made me feel like we have
known each other our whole lives. I can honestly say
I feel like I made a new friend. I look forward to
booking a few more days with you in the fall and
will try my best to get the friend I talked about
the whole trip to come up with me. Thanks for a
great trip.

Super, great, fun-tastic is what I have too say about
Angling Adventures and it's owner.
Steve
what a great time myself and friends had on the river
fishing with you. You made us feel like we've known
you our whole life along with catching a lot of nice
fish. If anybody out there loves fishing and life this
is the guy to book because I think, no I know he loves
them both. He's doesn't hold anything back showing you
how to catch fish and doing
anything he can to make sure a great time is shared by
all on the river. I would have no problem calling him
a friend. THANKS AGAIN for a great time. P.S. Call or
write anytime and let me know when the bigs Browns are
running...................Keith Phillips, Big Chimney,

I
once again have to thank Steve for a great day on the
Salmon with him and my 9 year old daughter Miranda.
The pictures in gallery #1 brought it all back to me,
but especially to her. It was one of the last times we
fished the Salmon, about a year and a half ago. Steve
offered to take us down the river due to the water
being high and my daughter having little or no hope of
getting to the fish without his boat. He not only put
her into 5 chinook of which the smallest being upwards
of
25lbs, but he also talked to her and made her feel
like she was a real fisherman/woman. That day on the
river made me feel proud that I was sharing this
experience with my daughter and it also assured me of
a fishing partner for the rest of my days, she is
hooked. There is nothing I can say to thank Steve for
his professionalism as a guide except I cannot wait to
get back to the United States and hit the river with
him and other friends again.

Steve,
I wanted to
drop a line to let you know what a fantastic trip we
had on September 29. I never imagined a
day of fishing like that on the Salmon River and
certainly never expected the action to continue all
day. Here I am two days later and my arm is still
sore from fighting those fish!
Your insight
and knowledge of the river seem to be limitless, and
obviously came in handy as my friend and myself were
apparently two of only a handful of anglers on the
river catching fish that day.
Every aspect
of the trip was an education -- from your advice on
wading in the swifter currents to your methods of
trying to get those huge fish to the net -- and your
patience and obvious love of the river made learning
much easier.
I have been
going up to Pulaski for the fall salmon run since
1992, and have never caught, hooked or even dreamed
about the number of fish I hooked into in the eight
hours we fished together.
I look
forward to booking a trip with you for Steelhead
this winter and would be deeply satisfied if we
found a fraction of the success we had in September.
